Finish the Race!!

For the last several months I’ve had trouble writing. But I don’t worry about it because I know that something is working inside of me, I don’t rightly know where it’ll lead, but I know something is up. I step back a little from blogging, the numbers went way down, and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. There’s something in the wind and I know that its important, very important. I know more than ever that we are in a war where there are no prisoners. Its life or death and the importance of it is coming stronger to me every day. Life or death. God’s people are being attacked right and left like never before, and we are not in the least bit immune here in this family. When you figure your immune that’s when you’ve already lost it.

I always wondered why I love movies like the Alamo, and similar things. Where folks know where they stand and do or die they don’t give in. This is the kind of war we are in and there’s a line drawn in the sand. I know I read sometimes, or at least I used to, about how a Christian should just be able to waltz right through life without any more problems, that the good times have come and that God only wants you to have a great time and have friends up the ying yang, and that things will always go good for you no matter what. But I know one thing, when they talk like that they are nothing but hell bound liars, and that is it. I ain’t some old grump saying my way is the only way, no sir, but the Bible sure says different than some of this hell bound preaching of today.

Satan has been defeated, that is not in doubt. But never forget that he still can kill, steal and destroy, the Bible says so, and he will until he is forever thrown into the lake of fire. Its like a major war, the enemy is already defeated, drawing back, not much time left, but there will still be thousands and thousands of casualties until the final surrender.

War, we are still in the last stages of the campaign. These past few months as I had a hard time writing, I haven’t had a hard time learning. And instead of sitting still because of lack of writing more and more has been dropping into my lap. More and more folks coming into contact with me. Plans falling into our lap for the upcoming months and the way for financing everything being taken care of by God Himself. Work here, work in this country, and work in Central America. Everything is falling into place, with no help from me.

Christians coming into contact with me, rock solid Christians who are being beaten down by this satanic world. Coming to me with the problems I have and it swells up inside of me, the answers, to the very questions  I’ve been pondering, come right out plain as day. God works in marvelous ways I can testify. Sometimes several times in the same week I have e-mails from different parts of the country with the same problems. This week has been no different. The answer is this, what I preached about a little over a week ago.

2 Timothy 4

1In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Continue the race, keep on running no matter how impossible it seems, keep going! The end reward far out weighs the tribulations we have now. Run!

  1. Thanks Tom.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you serve Him so faithfully.

  2. Hello Tom, It has been a long time since we chatted. I still visit your site and read your wisdom but have not commented in a long while. I am battling sickness since last Christmas. So I know about not having everything going great. God has a reason for everything even sickness and suffering. I wish you would blog more as I do enjoy your writings. Take care my friend.

  3. Evening Guy!!

Long time eh! I haven’t forgotten you folks either, think of you often! Sometimes I have a hard time blogging, I figure the grace is lifting and I know that I have to move on as the Lord wants. I’ll probably always write here and there, but I’m much more interested in doing hands on ministry stuff right here on the farm. I wrote about that at my other blog, A Farmer’s journal.

And I gotta get going following that vision, and be up and running when I get done combining our corn crop in the next week or two. Who knows, next time your down this way you can stop in and see it all for real. We plan on ministering to church folks and non church folks, to pray for healing, both body and soul over them.

But like I say, I’ll try and write fairly often, its kinda a habit 🙂

Thank you So Much for letting me know your around here yet! It means allot to me, and I mean it!

    God Bless!
    Tom
