Finish the Race!!

For the last several months I’ve had trouble writing. But I don’t worry about it because I know that something is working inside of me, I don’t rightly know where it’ll lead, but I know something is up. I step back a little from blogging, the numbers went way down, and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. There’s something in the wind and I know that its important, very important. I know more than ever that we are in a war where there are no prisoners. Its life or death and the importance of it is coming stronger to me every day. Life or death. God’s people are being attacked right and left like never before, and we are not in the least bit immune here in this family. When you figure your immune that’s when you’ve already lost it.

I always wondered why I love movies like the Alamo, and similar things. Where folks know where they stand and do or die they don’t give in. This is the kind of war we are in and there’s a line drawn in the sand. I know I read sometimes, or at least I used to, about how a Christian should just be able to waltz right through life without any more problems, that the good times have come and that God only wants you to have a great time and have friends up the ying yang, and that things will always go good for you no matter what. But I know one thing, when they talk like that they are nothing but hell bound liars, and that is it. I ain’t some old grump saying my way is the only way, no sir, but the Bible sure says different than some of this hell bound preaching of today.

Satan has been defeated, that is not in doubt. But never forget that he still can kill, steal and destroy, the Bible says so, and he will until he is forever thrown into the lake of fire. Its like a major war, the enemy is already defeated, drawing back, not much time left, but there will still be thousands and thousands of casualties until the final surrender.

War, we are still in the last stages of the campaign. These past few months as I had a hard time writing, I haven’t had a hard time learning. And instead of sitting still because of lack of writing more and more has been dropping into my lap. More and more folks coming into contact with me. Plans falling into our lap for the upcoming months and the way for financing everything being taken care of by God Himself. Work here, work in this country, and work in Central America. Everything is falling into place, with no help from me.

Christians coming into contact with me, rock solid Christians who are being beaten down by this satanic world. Coming to me with the problems I have and it swells up inside of me, the answers, to the very questions  I’ve been pondering, come right out plain as day. God works in marvelous ways I can testify. Sometimes several times in the same week I have e-mails from different parts of the country with the same problems. This week has been no different. The answer is this, what I preached about a little over a week ago.

2 Timothy 4

1In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Continue the race, keep on running no matter how impossible it seems, keep going! The end reward far out weighs the tribulations we have now. Run!

There Is Freedom!

The fall season has arrived here in the north country, we haven’t had a frost yet but that’s coming one of these days for sure. Even without a frost many of the leaves on the trees are already thinning out. A fella can see allot farther into the brush than he could of a month ago. And with this season coming upon us here  there’s the seasonal work starting soon of bringing herds home, weaning calves, vaccinating calves, checking out cows, and getting a good portion of the cows on late fall pastures. Another job, an in house job, is to go through the veterinary catalogs and see what supplies we need for all of this, check out prices, and see what’s the best deal a person can come up with while still giving maximum protection to all the cattle again this year. I kind of like going through the catalogs, cause once I get the vaccines figured out I keep on browsing and farm and ranch catalogs are a type of wish book for people like me.

And after a hot and humid summer I enjoy this weather, even when its cool and windy. Refreshing and good for the soul I figure. The air pouring in from the great Northwest is about as clean and invigorating as it gets! Some folks don’t really like the north country, but all in all, I do. Oh, it can get rough in winter for sure and a person wonders, what in the world am I living here for, but the benefits out weigh the down sides, by allot! And when there’s plenty of winter feed for the cowherd, well things get mighty good. A fella can sleep at night knowing that the feed for the cows is there for them the next day, and the days following that. It is a blessing having an ample supply of hay and silage! And I don’t forget that these blessings are from the Lord! No sir, a person had better not start figuring that he or she has got it together because it seems the moment a person starts feeling that way, things head south, fast.

2 Corinthians 3

17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Always liked that verse, even like it when they sing a song with some of those words in it at our little country church. Yep, where the Spirit of the Lord is….THERE  IS FREEDOM! What does this have to do with what I wrote above? Durned if I know, it just came to me to put that verse down. And tonight I’ll leave it at that!
